Case 1

22 year old male s/p mva with an open right acetabulum and hypotension.

AP Pelvis

Responded to blood initially and went to the OR for i+d of acetabulum and placement of traction pins. Sent to angio as blood loss continued. Had coils placed and stabilized. Then sent to CT where a bladder rupture was noted. A diversion with foley was already in place.

CT

Was returned to the OR where bladder repaired and the symphysis was fixed.

Stabilized in ICU but the patient was very sick. Rt percutaneous posterior ring fixation several days later. Lt side injured, but not too unstable and patient very sick - so deferred. Healed well.

Outcome: Patient alive, awake and walking.
