The Kocher-Langenbeck approach is typically utilized to access bone of the posterior aspect of the acetabulum. Digital evaluation of the anterior portion of the acetabulum can be obtained. Typically treatment indications for Kocher-Langenbeck approach are a posterior wall or column fracture, transverse fractures with or without an associated posterior wall, a posterior column/posterior wall fracture or T shape fractures. Image 3 is an example of a posterior wall fixed through a Kocher-Langenbeck approach (Image 4).
